Not only for women's health, but also for inner beauty, beauty oil "this"
the skin barrier
Hello. I'm a pharmacist Jinny.
Do you know about the benefits of GLA? Many of you probably know it as an ingredient that can help improve the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS).
GLA is an omega-6 fatty acid, which is essential for the body but cannot be synthesized in the human body and must be obtained from food. Therefore, it can be beneficial for women suffering from premenstrual syndrome symptoms, as well as for the overall health of men and women of all ages. Today, we're going to take a closer look at some of the benefits of GLA that you may not have known about.
Estrogen is an important hormone that not only affects women's sexual development, but also protects the cardiovascular system and protects against overall metabolic diseases, such as breaking down abdominal fat. However, as estrogen decreases after menopause, the risk of developing chronic diseases such as high blood pressure increases, and abdominal obesity becomes more prevalent.
In this regard, this year 2021 in Menopause, a study was published on the effect of the consumption of borage oil, rich in gamma-linolenic acid, on postmenopausal women [1].
The most representative benefit of GLA is that it improves symptoms of premenstrual syndrome due to its powerful anti-inflammatory properties. The anti-inflammatory properties of GLA also have a variety of benefits for skin health. That's why I call it a "beauty oil."
In a 2011 study in the Journal of Oleo Science, adults with dry skin or mild atopic dermatitis were shown to strengthen their skin barrier when supplemented with GLA [3].
And that's not all. Gamma-linolenic acid is also good for acne, another type of inflammation that appears on the skin, just like atopic dermatitis.
A 2014 study in Acta dermato-venereologica showed that GLA may also have some help in improving acne [4].
"After 10 weeks of omega-3 fatty acid or GLA supplementation, inflammatory and non-inflammatory acne lesions decreased significantly."
Today, we've looked at the benefits of GLA for women's health, as well as its various benefits such as anti-inflammatory, inner beauty, and more. Due to these various benefits, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has also approved GLA for improving blood cholesterol, improving blood circulation, and improving uncomfortable conditions due to premenstrual changes. It has been recognized for its fourfold functionality, which is to improve skin condition due to immune hypersensitivity reactions. I hope you can use it according to your needs.
I hope you have a healthy day in body and mind. It was Jinny.
