The 21st century is the era of "this"

1. Strengthens immune function

2. Anti-inflammatory

3. Antioxidants

Hello. I'm a pharmacist Jinny.

Recently, as interest in strengthening immune function has increased, many people are paying attention to vitamin C. Dr. Karl Pfeiffer, one of the world's leading nutritionists, once said, "If the 20th century was the age of vitamins, the 21st century is the age of MSM."

MSM is literally an edible sulfur. MSM (Methyl-sulfonyl-methane), which is well-known for its joint benefits, is MSM. It is the most abundant mineral found in the human body after calcium and phosphorus, and it performs a variety of functions related to the immune system in addition to joint health.
1. Strengthens immune function
I think that the ingredient that strengthens the immune system is a very important concern for many people these days. The enhancing effects of MSM on the immune system have been demonstrated through ongoing research, and research into the mechanisms by which MSM strengthens the immune system is now being conducted.

In 2017, Nutrients published a meta-study that comprehensively reviewed existing literature on MSM. This study introduces the enhancement of immune function as a major mechanism of MSM [1].
"Sulfur-containing compounds, including MSM, play an important role in supporting the immune response. (Omitted) MSM modulates the immune response by intervening between oxidative stress and inflammation."
2. Anti-inflammatory
Robert Hustler, a biochemist who patented the pharmaceutical uses of MSM, reported that MSM is effective in improving allergic reactions caused by the consumption of aspirin and other drugs, and is useful in preventing gastrointestinal upset caused by the consumption of aspirin and other drugs.
In 2017, a paper was published in Eur J Pharmacol supporting Robert Hustler's claims, which elucidate the mechanism of protection of MSM against gastric mucosal damage [2].
"These data suggest that MSM may reduce the severity of ethanol/HCI-induced gastric mucosal damage through inhibition of oxidative stress and inflammation."
3. Antioxidants
As previously documented, the anti-inflammatory mechanisms of MSM are associated with the inhibition of oxidative stress. As a result, the oxidative stress inhibition and antioxidant effects of MSM continue to attract the attention of researchers, and related research reports are accumulating.

The Iranian Journal of Pharmaceutical Research published a paper in 2013 evaluating the effect of MSM on improving oxidative stress [3].
"Oral supplementation of MSM lowers exercise-induced oxidative stress in untrained healthy young adults"

That's a quick overview of the key features of MSM that have been validated by academia.

I hope you have a healthy day in body and mind. It was Jinny.
