What to do when you have extreme thoughts?

 

When you feel so much pain that you want to give up on life, you think about ways to harm yourself or commit suicide in that moment. Here's what you should do.



First step,

If you feel like dying because you are in pain, you must first stop. Instead of acting on what comes to mind, take a step back and look at the situation objectively as if you were watching a movie. After that, you need to breathe and relax again to calm your mind.



Second stage,

You should do relaxation activities that will make you feel better. Some of the relaxation activities you can do include:


1. It's nice to feel your favorite touch.
For example, if you like fluffy things, you should stimulate your sense of touch in a positive way, such as touching the doll.

2. Sometimes, you can use a method called "landing" where you can gently move your body and feel how gravity pulls you and pull you off your body.

3. Aromatherapy that smells good can help.

4. You can also turn your mind in a positive direction by listening to good music or humming your favorite music.

5. There is also a way to write or draw something that is difficult.

If you make an effort to change your mood in these ways, negative thoughts will run away before you know it.



Third stage,

If the previous two steps don't work, and bad thoughts continue to invade you, you can go to the emergency room, consult a psychiatrist, and if necessary, take tranquilizers and rest to get rid of extreme thoughts.
