What are the three ingredients that help glutathione, a powerful antioxidant?

1. Cysteine
which makes up glutathione2. Vitamin E
protects glutathione 3. Silymarin Boosts Glutathione

Hello. I'm a pharmacist Jinny.

I think the ingredient that has been attracting the most attention lately is glutathione, which is well-known as white jade injection. Glutathione, a very powerful antioxidant, is widely used in whitening-related dermatology procedures in the form of intravenous injections.
Intravenous glutathione increases the concentration of certain substances in the body rapidly in its mechanism of action and reaches the desired action in a short period of time, but it does not maintain the high concentration for a long time. Eventually, glutathione levels drop again after a while.

Therefore, it is recommended to supplement with glutathione to help maintain glutathione levels. Let's take a look at three of these ingredients today.
1. Cysteine, which makes up glutathione
Healthy and clean skin is one of the basics of inner beauty in our minds. However, unwanted guests such as acne can cause redness and scarring and deep, dark scars.

If you've ever struggled with acne, we're going to give you some good news. In 2014, a study was published in Acta dermato-venereologica showing that gamma-linolenic acid has an effect on improving acne.
"Dietary supplementation of these amino acid precursors (cysteine, glycine) restores partial synthesis of GSH (glutathione) and significantly reduces markers of oxidative stress and oxidative damage."
2. Vitamin E protects glutathione
In the body, vitamin E plays a role in protecting sepores by preventing the oxidation of other substances by oxidizing itself through oxidation-reduction reactions. Therefore, it is known to be the body's main antioxidant, and together with glutathione, it forms a non-enzymatic antioxidant system.
As research on these antioxidant systems accumulated, a 2003 study was reported in Drug Metabolism Reviews on the correlation between vitamin E and glutathione.

"Antioxidants, such as vitamin E, have a protective effect against glutathione enzymes."
3. Silymarin to enhance glutathione
Silymarin is known as a component of milk thistle, which is a representative of liver health. Silymarin is a mixture of flavonoids found in milk thistle and other milk thistles that protect and regenerate liver cells, as well as detoxify them.
This hepatoprotective effect of silymarin has been widely studied, and a 2014 study in the World Journal of Hepatology noted its glutathione-enhancing properties.
"Silymarin enhances the production of glutathione in the liver by increasing the availability of cysteine and inhibiting cysteine's taurine catabolism while inducing the synthesis of cysteine."
Today, we're going to talk about three ingredients that help with glutathione. In the future, we will introduce ingredients that are more synergistic when eaten together based on the paper, so please pay a lot of attention to us.
I hope you have a healthy day in body and mind. It was Jinny.
