Effects of Skin Probiotics (HY7714)
1. Improves skin moisture content
2. Improves skin elasticity
3. Improves skin wrinkles

Hello, I am Jinny, a pharmacist.

Today I would like to introduce you to a new lactic acid bacteria. It’s called ‘Lactobacillus Plantarum HY7714’. It has been found to be helpful not only for intestinal health but also for skin health, and has been recognized by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety as an ‘individually recognized functional probiotic ingredient for skin health.’ In a word, it is a very smart lactic acid bacteria that can kill two birds with one stone.

In human application tests, HY7714 was found to have a significant improvement effect in skin health indicators, especially indicators related to moisturization, elasticity, and wrinkles. Now, let’s take a look at the details.

1. Improves Skin Moisture Content

Some people may have particularly dry skin and their lips get chapped even in the middle of summer. As we age, the function of the sebaceous glands that maintain moisture in the skin decreases, making the skin dry more easily.

In this regard, a paper was published in the Journal of microbiology and biotechnology in 2015 showing that the moisture content of face and hand skin was improved when taking probiotic HY7714.

“At week 12, water retention in the face and hands was significantly higher in the probiotic HY7714 group than in the placebo group.”

2. Improves Skin Elasticity

When we see pillow marks or sock marks that don't go away, we realize that our skin's elasticity is decreasing.

The study introduced earlier also reported that probiotic HY7714 helps with skin elasticity, and presented the following results.

“Skin elasticity increased gradually in both groups over the study period, but the degree of improvement at weeks 4 and 12 was significantly higher in the probiotic HY7714 group compared to the placebo group.”

3. Improves Skin Wrinkles

Skin wrinkles occur as the proteins in the dermal layer, such as collagen and elastin, become deformed as aging progresses. Especially, free radicals generated by ultraviolet rays, smoking, stress, etc. are a factor that further accelerates protein denaturation.

The same study reported that skin wrinkles were also significantly improved when consuming the probiotic HY7714.

“Reduction in Ra (arithmetic mean value of the maximum height of skin folds within the total measurement length), Rmax (maximum value of the height to furrow depth values of all skin folds measured over the assessment length) and Rv (maximum furrow depth of skin folds) was significantly greater in the probiotic HY7714 group than in the placebo group at week 12.”

Today, we looked at the various benefits you can get from consuming probiotic HY7714. To prevent skin aging and maintain its health, daily lifestyle habits are the most important, so please stay away from factors that cause free radicals as much as possible and be careful not to cause excessive stimulation when frowning or washing your face.

I hope you have a healthy day both physically and mentally. This was Jinny.
