[Efficacy of hyaluronic acid] Three effects of hyaluronic acid, a powerful moisturizing factor

For the skin condition during change of seasons 'this' is the most effective

Hyaluronic acid efficacy
01.  Increase skin moisture
02. Promote fibroblasts
03. Skin tissue repair
This content is health information about ingredients that are not directly related to a specific product  .

Hello. This is pharmacist Jinny.
We are approaching the end of October. The weather is really nice these days, but how is your skin condition? My lips are already chapped, and after washing my face, I feel a pulling sensation. During the changing seasons, where the daily temperature difference is large, the moisture balance of the skin is easily broken, so many people suffer from dry skin, redness, and troubles.

Today, I would like to introduce ingredients that can help people with these skin problems. Hyaluronic acid, a powerful moisturizing factor in our body, that can contain 300 to 1000 times its own weight  .

01. Increase skin moisture
Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide with excellent viscoelasticity and moisturizing ability , which exists in the skin, joint fluid, cartilage, and tears of the human body . 50% of the hyaluronic acid in our body is located in the skin and plays a role in retaining moisture and stabilizing the skin structure .

Academia has paid attention to the role hyaluronic acid already plays in the body, and research has been conducted to see if there are similar benefits to hyaluronic acid taken orally. In 2014, a paper was published in the Nutrition Journal on the effects of hyaluronic acid intake on dry skin .

“In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study, ingested HA (hyaluronic acid) was found to increase skin moisture and improve treatment outcomes in patients with dry skin.”

02. Promote fibroblasts
Fibroblasts are the most important cells in connective tissue and are cells that synthesize tissue components such as collagen . The aforementioned studies also show that hyaluronic acid promotes fibroblasts .

“The aforementioned reports suggest that both low-molecular and high-molecular HA (hyaluronic acid) are delivered to the skin and affect fibroblasts, contributing to skin moisturizing by promoting HA (hyaluronic acid) synthesis and cell proliferation.”

03. Skin tissue repair
As studies on the benefits of hyaluronic acid intake on skin moisturizing and cell proliferation have been accumulated, a paper suggesting the possibility of using hyaluronic acid for medical purposes was published in the 2019 Front Vet Sci.

“Hyaluronic acid as a biologically active molecule that regulates the tissue repair process at multiple stages should be considered as a safe and effective option for skin repair.”

Today, through this paper , we looked at the many benefits of hyaluronic acid . In order to keep your skin healthy, please remember that moisturizing all year round is essential.

I hope you have a healthy body and mind. More than that, it was Jinny.
