[Efficacy of Respecta®] Three effects of Respecta®, a vaginal health function recognized by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety

It is Respecta® probiotics, a functional lactic acid bacteria recognized by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for vaginal health

Respecta®Probiotics efficacy
1. Improvement of vaginal itching and discharge
2. Inhibition of vaginitis recurrence
3. Prevention of vaginitis

This is Jinny, the pharmacist.

You may have experienced concerns about itching and burning of female organs, or secretions with an unpleasant odor. You must have experienced this at least once. 'Women's cold', which often occurs when the physical condition deteriorates due to weakened immunity or fatigue. It is the main symptom of vaginitis .

I often meet people who know that vaginitis is caused by sexual contact. In fact, Trichomonas vaginitis, which is mainly sexually transmitted, accounts for only about 1/4 of all vaginitis. This means that three out of four people who have experienced vaginitis are likely to have experienced bacterial and candida vaginitis, which can occur without sexual contact only with fatigue or reduced immunity .

In the changing season, where vaginal health deterioration is likely to occur, today, we would like to introduce Respecta® probiotics, a functional raw material for women that has been recognized for its 'vaginal health functionality' by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety . This raw material is a functional raw material obtained by blending lactobacillus and lactoferrin, which are biological indicators of vaginal health, and is also a raw material that is expected by the academic world due to its high level of evidence in the composition of raw materials.

So, let's take a look at the academic research on Respecta® probiotics and how they can contribute to vaginal health.

1. Improvement of vaginal itching and secretion

We can all agree that you've experienced vaginal health decline, but there are mainly two ways you feel that something is wrong right now. One is uncomfortable itching and stinging even when sitting or standing, and secretions on the underwear.

In 2018, the Archives of gynecology and obstetrics published the results of a human application study that evaluated the effects of Respecta® probiotics intake on women suffering from vaginitis. In this study, Respecta® probiotics It has been reported that vaginal itching and secretion were improved in women with vaginitis according to intake .

" These effects were significantly correlated with the improvement of vaginitis symptoms and the improvement of vaginal abnormal flora, including vaginal itching (pruritus) and discharge. "

2. Inhibition of vaginitis recurrence

Because the female reproductive system is sensitive to a decrease in immunity, it easily responds to external stimuli or deterioration of physical strength. Recurrence of vaginitis is very common, as it is known that more than 75% of women experience vaginitis, and 45% of them experience vaginitis recurrence more than twice a year.

Accordingly, a human application test was conducted to evaluate whether Respecta® probiotics, which had been confirmed to contribute to the improvement of vaginitis symptoms in human application tests, could also contribute to suppressing the recurrence of vaginitis. This study reports that a significant reduction in vaginitis recurrence rates was confirmed following intake of Respecta® probiotics .

" After 6 months of follow-up, women who took Respecta® had fewer recurrences of vaginitis than women who took placebo, which was statistically significant. In addition, at 1 and 4 months of follow-up, found a significant reduction in vaginitis recurrence only in the Respecta® group. ”

3. Prevention of vaginitis

In fact, both normal and abnormal bacteria are already distributed in the female vagina. Normally, normal bacteria such as lactic acid bacteria maintain health in balance with abnormal bacteria, but if the balance of the vaginal flora is broken due to a decrease in immunity or the use of antibiotics, abnormal bacteria are activated and bacterial vaginosis or candida vaginitis may occur. .

Existing vaginitis treatment has been mainly done with antibiotics, but as mentioned above, the use of antibiotics can also cause vaginitis, so the academic world has been continuously looking for alternative treatment methods. In Microorganisms in 2020, a thesis reviewing the effectiveness of probiotics and lactoferrin, which are considered the most promising treatment methods, was published. The researcher presents the results of the review as follows.

“ The combination of lactobacilli and lactoferrin could be a promising tool for preventing bacterial vaginosis as well as yeast infections (candidiasis), and could be an alternative approach to reduce the recurrence of symptoms of vaginal infections. ”

Today, we learned about Respecta® probiotics, a functional raw material for vaginal health for the health of precious female organs. As the level of evidence for the composition of raw materials is high and its functionality has been verified in human application tests, it may be a good idea to consider taking it if you have concerns about vaginal health.

I know that many women still know and pass by alone even if they have vaginitis symptoms because they are uncomfortable with expressions and visits to the gynecologist are burdensome. Be sure to remember that management through health functional food is not the treatment of a disease, and hope that you can combine treatment through a specialist and management through health functional food.

I hope you have a healthy day in body and mind. It was Jinny.
